Staff

     Pastor Bob has a passion to see people come to know Jesus Christ and to grow in Him. He brings practical and relevant messages that inspire and help to equip the believers. In addition to his duties at First Southern, Bob serves as the Chaplain for the Pratt Sherriff’s department and is a trained in Disaster Relief Chaplain for the Southern Baptist Convention.

     Pastor Bob has served in full-time ministry since 1973, when he went on Staff with Young Life, serving as an Area Director in Louisiana, Kentucky, and South Carolina. He came to Pratt after serving for thirteen years as the pastor of a church in Sacramento, California. Pastor Bob grew up in South Carolina and is a graduate of Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky. Pastor Bob’s wife Chris serves as a small group

leader and women’s mentor with him here in Pratt. They have two grown daughters residing in California.

     Pastor Scott desires to see people come to Christ and grow in their faith. Additionally, he desires to see parents take on the biblical role as the primary disciple makers in their homes.

      Before coming to First Southern Baptist Church, Scott served as a Youth and Worship Pastor at Sharon Baptist Church in Olathe, Kansas. He is currently working on his Master’s with Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia. Scott’s wife Melissa is active in the AWANA ministry and Children’s Choirs and their three children: Taylor, Caleb and Praise are also active in various church ministries.

     Josh’s goal in ministry is to reach young people with the good news of Jesus Christ by actively engaging in their culture, to teach them the commands of God, and train them to reach others.

      Josh most recently served as the director of Upwards Ministry at First Baptist Church in Mansfield Texas and holds a Masters of Divinity in Student Ministry from Southwestern Theological Seminary. Josh and his wife Bethany were recently blessed with a daughter Ellie.

     The church secretary is often the first impression people have of any church, whether it is in person, on the telephone or by email. And we are so happy to have Shelly to fit that role! Shelly’s husband, Rocky, is a professional rodeo cowboy and is the current World Champion steer roper. They have two sons, Cole and Caden.
