Children's Programs
At First Southern Baptist Church, kids are more than just the future. Kids are our focus now! We have a broad range of learning activities for our children staffed by well qualified and loving individuals.
Sunday School – Sunday Mornings 9:45 to 10:45AM
Sunday School is a place for children to learn more about God and how to apply what they’ve learned in a fun and safe environment.
Nursery – Children up to age 2
Pre-School A – 2- and 3-year olds
Pre-School B – 4- and 5-year olds
Children 1 – 1st and 2nd grade
Children 2 – 3rd and 4th grade
Children 3 – 5th and 6th grade
AWANA – Sunday Nights 5:00 to 7:00 (during school year)
AWANA’s mission is to reach children with the Gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. This fast-paced, fun and challenging program teaches children to memorize the Bible and to incorporate what they have learned in everyday life.
Nursery – Children up to age 2
Puggles – 2- and 3-year olds
Cubbies – 4-yrs to Pre-Kindergarten
Sparks – Kindergarten through 2nd grade
Truth and Training – 3rd through 6th grade
Children’s Choir – Wednesday Nights 6:30 to 7:30 (during school year)
You don’t have to be able to sing like a bird to join us in the Children’s Choirs. Anyone who is willing to make a joyful noise to the Lord is welcome!
Music Time – 4 years through Kindergarten
Music Makers – 1st and 2nd grade
Young Musicians – 3rd through 6th grade
